An extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southwest of South Farm. The sub-circular earthwork measures approximately 38m in diameter and is located within the northwest corner of a field. The extent of the earthwork is symbolised here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map.
