Possible 19th century water channels are visible on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northwest of South Farm. The two linear earthworks are northeast to southwest aligned, each comprise an earthwork ditch with possible flanking bank and are parallel to the northwest facing slopes of a combe. Whilst the function of these earthworks is largely unclear, it is possible they represent water channels of a catch meadow system, tapping the spring-fed stream to the immediate south. The earthworks could also, however, represent former post-medieval to 19th century field boundaries.
