Former field boundaries of between medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork banked features on aerial photographs of 1982 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, at Hayne Farm. The two contiguous field boundaries are T-shaped in plan and northeast to southwest and northwest to southeast aligned. The southern field boundary is depicted on the Parish Tithe map and may be of post-medieval to 19th century in date, whilst that to the north appears to have passed out of use by this time and may be of potential medieval date. The Historic Landscape Characterisation Project has classified this area as comprising ‘Medieval enclosures based on strip fields’.
