Former field boundaries of potential medieval date are visible as earthwork ditch and banked features on aerial photographs of 1982 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northeast of Higher Northcott. The two slight curvilinear earthwork banks are broadly north to south aligned, with a short stub off the northern extent of the eastern most bank. This earthwork is also partly flanked along its eastern edge by an earthwork ditch. The field boundaries are not depicted on the Parish Tithe map and so appear to have passed out of use by this time.
