A possible field boundary of between medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork bank on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northwest of Higher Musgrove. The linear earthwork is east to west aligned and closely respects the historic field patterns here based on medieval enclosures. A possible medieval cultivation terrace (MDV115986) is visible to the immediate north, although the two features were recorded separately. The digital parish tithe map is incomplete here, so it is not possible to determine whether this field boundary was extant by this time, although it does appear to have passed out of use by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map.
