A series of small sub-circular earthwork pits of uncertain date and function are visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2010 and from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southeast of Penn Copse. The pits measure between 2-4m in diameter, with those to the east arranged in a clear linear north to south alignment, perhaps demarcating a former temporary field boundary.
