A possible post-medieval to 19th century extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1982 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the north of Park Farm. The sub-rectilinear shaped earthwork measures approximately 36m by 36m and is situated on northeast facing slope. The visible earthworks did not correspond with any pit features depicted in this location on the available 19th century mapping. This supports the interpretation that the extractive pit had passed out of use prior to the mid-to-late 19th century.
