Full description
Rogers, W. H. H., 1948, Untitled Source, 34 (Un-published). SDV7311.
Mr Vernon Boyle says: 'Mr Turner, aged 70 in 1946, of Pillmouth, says that before the iron bridge at Landcross, there was a ford there for donkeys and packhorses. The canal and new road to Torrington were made in 1824'.

Landcross bridge, so called on present map, but marked as 'Iron Bridge' on 1905 map. Made of iron, and carries A386 Bideford to Torrington road. Probably constructed about 1824. It is marked on the Tithe Map of 1840.
