Plot 86 is listed as meadow, named Pit Meadow.

The visible earthworks correspond partly with a depicted pond and small copse.

An irregularly shaped pit up to circa 55 metres across was visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014.
The visible earthworks did not correspond with any extractive features depicted in this location on the 19th century mapping available to the survey.
Two ponds are depicted in approximately this location in plot 86 of the Tithe Map for Plymtree, named as Pit Meadow, with one pond remaining depicted adjacent to a small copse on the OS First Edition 25 inch map.
The visible earthwork extends to the north-west beyond the extent of the depicted features, supporting the interpretation that they are the remains of an extractive pit that had passed out of use prior to the mid-to-late 19th century, with the least agriculturally viable areas subsequently utilised as woodland and ponds.
