Plot 32 is listed as under arable cultivation, named as Little Blackland; Plot 205 is listed as under arable cultivation, named as Poors Land.

A large irregularly shaped feature, probably a pit, is depicted but not annotated.

A large irregularly shaped pit circa 110 by 54 metres in size was visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014.
The visible earthwork correspond with a probable pit feature depicted but not annotated in this location on the Tithe Map for Plymtree, bisected by the boundary between Plot 32, (Little Blackland, arable) and Plot 205, (Poors Land, arable). By the OS First Edtion 25 inch map, the pit had been utilised as a plantation, named as Poor Pit Plantation, the plantation’s name being the only reference to its former extractive function.
This supports the interpretation that the visible earthworks are the remains of an extractive that pit had passed out of use prior to the mid-to-late 19th century and was subsequently utilised as woodland. The current OS MasterMap depicts several ponds within the area of the plantation and former pit.
