Full description

The late 19th century historic map depicts the Union Inn with the Palk Arms public house to the south.

This inn was one of two in the village; the Palk Arms next door is 16th century in origin and sold mostly ale, while the Union Inn sold cider. In the early 1900s the inns would open at 6am and close at 10pm. Closed in the late 1950s.
