Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

Curvilinear cropmarks of ditches were visible on the gentle west-facing slopes overlooking the River Tale to the west. The curvilinear cropmarks measure from 1 to 2 metres wide and up to 65 metres long, possibly defining a curvilinear enclosure up to 120 metres by 60 metres in size. Narrow linear cropmarks might subdivide the interior of the enclosure, north of a possible circular or oval enclosure up to circa 25 metres in diameter at ST07700305.
The cropmarks are interpreted as the remains of a possible enclosed settlement or small field enclosures of later prehistoric to Roman date.
The cropmarks were not identified from any other aerial photographs available to the survey.
