Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1989, OS/89276, OS/89276 V 350-351 14-JUN-1989 (Aerial Photograph). SDV357047.
A roughly oval pit was visible as an earthwork.
Environment Agency, 1998-2014, LiDAR DTM data (1m resolution), LIDAR ST0603 Environment Agency DTM 01-JAN-1998 to 30-SEP-2014 (Cartographic). SDV359177.
A roughly oval pit was visible as a subtle earthwork.

An oval pit circa 40 by 18 metres in size was visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1989 and as a very slight feature on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014.
The visible earthworks did not correspond with any pit features depicted in this location on the 19th century mapping available to the survey. This supports the interpretation that the visible earthworks are the remains of an extractive that pit had passed out of use prior to the mid-to-late 19th century.
