Former field boundaries of potential medieval date are visible as earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1948 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southeast of Lower Luxton. The three curvilinear earthworks are situated on gentle to moderate southeast facing slope and broadly respect the historic field patterns depicted here on the Parish Tithe map, characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields. The northern of the three earthwork banks appears to partly correspond to a field boundary on this map.
