A series of earthwork pits of possible post-medieval to 19th century extraction pits are visible on aerial photographs of 1948 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northwest of Knightshayne Farm. Clay pits and gravel pits are depicted within the immediate vicinity here on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map, suggesting these earthworks were likely utilised for such.

A series of earthwork pits of possible post-medieval to 19th century extraction pits are visible on aerial photographs of 1948 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northwest of Knightshayne Farm. The cluster of earthworks vary from sub-circular, to oval to irregular in shape and measure between 20m to 60m in length. Clay pits and gravel pits are depicted within the immediate vicinity here on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map, suggesting these earthworks were likely utilised for such.
