Several curvilinear earthwork ditches are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1948. Two appear to be conjoined at their downslope end, but the other is located 7 metres downslope and runs parallel to it, the complex dropping circa 10 metres over its 130 metre length. The ditches are interpreted as the gutters of a catchmeadow system of post-medieval or 19th century date. It appears to originate from the east of the railway line, presumably pre-dating it, and may have been associated with Platt farmstead. No relevant features are depicted in this location on the late-19th century maps confirming that it probably went out of use before the 20th century.
