Parallel linear earthwork banks are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1948. Their broadly cross-contour orientation is indicative of post-medieval or 19th century tree planting banks, and this plot of land was recorded as orchard in the Tithe apportionment. Scattered tree cover indicates that the land was still in use as orchard in the mid-20th century, but no trees or earthworks are visible on the later available imagery and they may have been levelled.
