Parallel linear earthwork banks are indistinctly visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Their broadly cross-contour orientation is indicative of post-medieval or 19th century tree planting banks, and this plot of land was recorded as orchard in the Tithe apportionment and depicted with orchard trees on the late-19th century OS mapping.
