A former field boundary of between medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork bank on aerial photographs of 1948 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southwest of Williambeer Farm. The linear east to west aligned earthwork is partly defined as a field boundary on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s, although the eastern half appears to have passed out of use by this time. The field boundary is located in an area characterised by medieval enclosures based on strip fields.
