Cropmarks which have formed over a levelled bank of a medieval to 19th century field boundary are visible on aerial photographs of 1971, to the southeast of Dennington, Yarcombe. The linear field boundary is northeast to southwest aligned and corresponds with historic and extant field boundaries located at either end. A short section of this field boundary is shown on the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48 so clearly pre-dates this time. It is not visible on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, so had passed out of use by the later 19th century.
