Former field boundaries of between medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1948 and 1971, and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, at Clifthayne Farm, Yarcombe. The two parallel field boundaries are linear in shape and northeast to southwest aligned. They do not correspond with any visible field boundaries depicted in this location on the available 19th century mapping. This supports the interpretation that these field boundaries had passed out of use prior to the late 19th century. The southern section of the western bank is faintly visible on lidar images, whilst the remaining banks have been levelled following expansion of the farm.
