Earthwork banks of probable post-medieval to 19th date are visible on aerial photographs of 1971 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998-2014, at Culm Davy Farm, Hemyock. The earthworks, which are northeast to southwest aligned and occupy an area of approximately 2.20 hectares of south facing slope, may represent the remains of a former orchard, the banks providing improved drainage and increased soil depth for the fruit trees. Orchards are depicted on historic maps to the immediate east, although if an orchard was present here, it had evidently passed out of use by the late 19th century.
