A former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as an earthwork bank on aerial photographs of 1971 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998-2014, to the southeast of Blackaller Farm, Hemyock. The two sections of earthwork bank form a single linear northeast to southwest aligned field boundary truncated laterally by a late 19th century east to west aligned boundary. The earthwork bank does not correspond with any field boundaries shown in this location on the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48, supporting the view that it had passed out of use by this time. It does, however, closely correspond with a field boundary to the immediate north on this map.
