A former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as an earthwork bank on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2008, to the southeast of Higher Culmpyne Farm, Hemyock. The linear earthwork is northeast to southwest aligned and parallel to Combe Hill road. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any field boundaries shown here on the Hemyock Parish Tithe map of 1838-48 or subsequent historical maps made available to the survey, suggesting the field boundary had passed out of use by the mid-19th century. The earthworks were not clearly visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey and its survival is uncertain.
