An orchard is depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s.

The orchard has been partly cleared of trees.

An orchard is depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s, although by 1947, aerial photographs show that the orchard trees have been partly cleared. The earthworks, first visible in 1971, are northwest to southeast aligned and occupy an area of 0.14 hectares of southeast facing slope, within a single triangular shaped plot.
