An earthwork pit is visible.

A possible former extractive pit of post-medieval to mid-19th century date is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1971, to the northeast of Greyborough Copse, Culmstock. The irregular shaped earthwork measures approximately 43m in length by 25m in width and has been cut into the edge of a combe. It is also located in an area where a number of similar such features have been recorded during this survey. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any features depicted in this location on the available 19th century mapping. This supports the interpretation that the extractive pit had passed out of use prior to the mid-to-late 19th century. The earthworks were not clearly visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey.
