Summary

A roughly square structure, circa 3 metres in plan, is visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s. It is located east of the railway, apparently associated with what appears to be a water treatment works. Its size, location and the date of the photographs on which it is visible suggests that it could be a pillbox forming part of the Second World War Taunton Stop Line. It is not visible on more recent aerial imagery and seems to have been removed by 1976.
