An irregularly shaped earthwork pit, up to circa 50 metres across, is visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s. It is not depicted on any available historic mapping and is tentatively interpreted as a post-medieval or nineteenth century extractive pit. The area appears to have been landscaped, perhaps when the nearby houses were constructed, and it is now partially wooded with a spiral trackway.
