A grid of earthwork ditches are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1948 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. The wider central ditch is perpendicular to parallel narrower ditches, resembling a post-medieval or 19th century catchmeadow, although they do not all seem to run along the contour, and could instead have been for drainage.

Dean, R., 2018, Land at east of Axminster, Devon: Geophysical Survey (Report - Geophysical Survey). SDV361775.

This report presents the results of an archaeological geophysical survey at the site. The survey was commissioned by AC Archaeology Ltd on behalf of clients in support of a planning application.

Group 102 represent ditches from a post-medieval, possibly 19th century, catch-meadow recorded on aerial photograph and lidar images.
