An irregular earthwork pit, on the north-east side of a watercourse, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. The ground surface is obscured by tree cover on earlier available imagery, but the mid-19th century Tithe map depicts an area approximately the same as the earthwork as scrubby ground around what looks like a stream joining the watercourse here. The earthwork is tentatively interpreted as a post-medieval or early nineteenth century extractive pit that fell out of use before the late-19th century, but it is possible that it could be a natural feature.
