An irregular earthwork pit, up to circa 35 metres across, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. The ground surface is obscured by tree cover on the available aerial photographs, and this plot of land was depicted as wooded on the 19th century mapping. It is interpreted as a post-medieval or early nineteenth century extractive pit that fell out of use before the mid-19th century.
