Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

A linear bank up to 5 metres wide and 25 long was visible as a low earthwork west of Moorpit Farm, Yarcombe parish.
The earthwork falls within a plot defined as an orchard on the 19th century mapping available to the survey but is not depicted. It has been interpreted as evidence of a former field boundary, probably of post-medieval origin, that was removed prior to circa 1880. The bank remains visible as a slight earthwork on lidar derived images of 2016.
