Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

A curvilinear bank 4 to 8 metres wide and circa 200 long was visible on aerial photographs of 1971 as a low earthwork crossing the contours of a west-facing slope south of Home Park, Membury parish.
The earthwork does not correspond with any boundary depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but is roughly parallel to the extant boundary to the north, part of a field pattern characterised by HLC and probably medieval in origin. It has therefore been interpreted as evidence of a former field boundary probably of post-medieval origin that was removed prior to circa 1880. The bank remains visible as a slight earthwork on lidar derived images of 2016.
It may be the boundary referred to in relation to possible cultivation terraces to the north in record MDV48632.
