Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

Recorded as Home, Orchard, House etc on the Halberton Tithe Apportionment (plot 2177).

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Battens Farm depicted. Comparison with the Tithe map shows the farmstead to have been largely rebuilt. The 1880s-1890s map shows a courtyard arrangement of farm buildings with the farmhouse off the north-east corner and the entrance in the east side.
