Vis=6/11/1972(os) the supposed remains of a chapel could not be identified and the farmer's view that it was the ruined n-s building at ss51400114 is a doubtful conjecture where only earth and rubble banks 0.7m high can be seen. Neither house nor chapel is recorded in the lysons and risdon histories of devon.

Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1978, SS50SW2 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV215179.

Site visit 6th November 1972. The supposed remains of a chapel could not be identified and the farmer's view that it was the ruined north-south building at SS51400114 is a doubtful conjecture where only earth and rubble banks 0.7m high can be seen. Neither the house or the chapel is recorded in the Lysons and Risdon histories of Devon.
