A former field boundary of medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork ditch on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2008, southeast of Garlandhayes, Clayhidon. The possible field boundary is linear in shape and northwest to southeast aligned. The earthwork ditch broadly respects the historic field patterns on the 1838-48 Parish Tithe map, although does not correspond with any features shown in this location on this map, or subsequent historic maps made available to the survey. This supports the interpretation that the field boundary had passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
