The earthworks are located within land parcel 217 which is recorded as ‘Home Orchard’.

Possible tree-planting banks of a former post-medieval to 19th century orchard are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2010 and lidar data captured in 2008, at Garlandhayes, Clayhidon. The earthworks are located within land parcel 217 on the Parish Tithe map which is recorded as ‘Home Orchard’ on the accompanying Tithe Apportionment. The earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established for increased soil depth and improved drainage, are northwest to southeast aligned and occupy an area of approximately 0.13 hectares of southeast facing slope, within a single land parcel.
