Former field boundaries of between medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1948, to the northeast of Ringdown Cottage Farm, Clayhidon. The earthworks comprise a single north to south aligned bank, with a short northeast to southwest aligned stub on its western side. The earthworks correspond with field boundaries to both the north and west. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any field boundaries shown in this location on the 1838-48 Parish Tithe map. This supports the interpretation that the field boundaries had passed out of use by the mid-19th century. The earthwork banks are not visible on aerial photographs after 1948 or digital images made available to the survey and their survival is unknown.
