Former field boundaries of potential medieval date are visible as earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1971 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998-2014, at Heazle Farm, Clayhidon. The earthwork banks form two parallel broadly north to south aligned field boundaries which closely respect the historic field patterns shown in this location on the 1838-48 Parish Tithe Map. The earthworks do not, however, correspond with any field boundaries shown on this map. This supports the interpretation that they had passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
