Two earthwork pits, the largest circa 50 metres, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1996 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. The Tithe maps for this area are not currently available to the project, but no features are depicted in this exact location on the late-19th century mapping. The earthworks are interpreted as the remains of post-medieval or 19th century former extractive pit that went out of use by the late-19th century.
