Parallel linear earthwork banks, approximately 3 metres in width, are visible on aerial photographs taken between 1947 and 2000. They are aligned cross-contour and are interpreted as post-medieval or 19th century banks for fruit tree cultivation. No orchard is depicted in this area on the available historic mapping, indicating that it went out of use by the late-19th century. They are not visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014, and they seem to have been levelled in the early-21st century when ponds had been dug into part of the area.
