Three 'Tumuli' shown on 19th century map in a field to the east of Cupper's Piece.

Probably truncated. Diameter 22 paces, height 0.3 metres.

One of three bowl barrows to the south-east of Beaford Moor. Barrow iii) is a badly mutilated bowl barrow up to 30 metres in diameter and 0.5 metres high Other details: Barrow iii.


Griffith, F. M., 1984, Untitled Source (Personal Comment). SDV344895.

Site visited on 12th May 1984. Barrow apparently damaged, but not recently. Under pasture. 24 metres east to west by 21 metres north to south.


Gerrard, S., 1995, 139550 (Un-published). SDV344905.

Site visited on 22nd November 1995. North-eastern of a tight cluster of three round barrows. Survives as an oval flat topped mound, 22.3 metres east to west 20.9 metres north to south and 0.6 metres high. The ditch from which construction material was derived survives as a buried feature, and the ground appears to be particularly waterlogged on the south side thus indicating the position of the ditch.

Three bowl barrows 545 metres east of Cupper's Piece. The monument includes three bowl barrows situated on an exposed hilltop on the watershed between the River Torridge to the west and the River Taw to the east. The north eastern barrow survives as an oval flat topped mound measuring 22.3 metres east to west by 20.9 metres north to south and standing up to 0.6 metres high. The ditch survives as a buried feature and is indicated by a waterlogged area on the southern side.
