Numerous curvilinear cropmarks, between 1.5 and 3 metres wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken between 1947 and 2006, and most are also visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. They are in an area characterised as enclosures of medieval origin and are interpreted as having formed over the buried remains of medieval field boundary ditches and banks. Those features that are not depicted on the available historic mapping have been transcribed, and these boundaries presumably went out of use by the early-20th century.
