Summary
A field boundary of probable post-medieval date was visible on aerial photographs of 1971 as an earthwork bank on the west-facing slopes north-east of Hook Cross, Chardstock parish. It has probably been levelled.

The visible earthwork does not correspond with a depicted boundary.

A linear bank was visible as an earthwork.

A former field boundary of probable post-medieval date was visible on aerial photographs of 1971 as an earthwork bank circa 65 metres long and less than 3 metres wide, crossing the west-facing slopes north-east of Hook Cross, Chardstock parish. The visible bank does not correspond with any boundary depicted on the historic maps available to the survey and was therefore probably removed by the late 19th century. The bank is not identifiable as an earthwork on later images available to the survey and has probably been levelled.
