A large two-storey building with a projecting porch alongside the A3124, which is recorded as a toll house on the 19th century Asheigney Tithe Apportionment. Sheldon lists a toll house near Hollocombe Moor which could be this one.

Reference in Sheldon to a toll house near Hollocombe Moor. Donn's map of 1765 and the 1809 1 inch Ordnance Survey map which usually show turnpike roads do no mark any near Hollocombe.
