Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

Linear banks 5 to 10 metres wide were visible as very slight earthworks on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the south-east of New Barn Farm, Yarcombe parish.
The visible earthworks do not correspond with any boundary features depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but are in keeping with the character of the surrounding field pattern. The banks are interpreted as the remains of field boundaries possibly of medieval origin that had passed out of use by the late 19th century. A possible circular mound at circa ST25241084, recorded separately (MDV119802), may be part of the system of boundary banks or evidence of an earlier feature.
