A low mound was visible as an earthwork.

The mound was not visible as an earthwork.

A mound was visible on aerial photographs of 1971 as a figure of eight earthwork approximately 27 by 15 metres in size to the north of Marsh Farm, Yarcombe parish. The date and function of the mound are not known, but it is possible the earthwork was associated with relict field boundaries of probable medieval origin, recorded to the west and east as MDV119786. The mound was not visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016 and may have been levelled.
