Two large sub-triangular features shown on 19th century map at the Ferro Ceramic Mine to the north-east of Shaugh Bridge. The northern structure is divided into two large and one small section and the southern feature is divided into two.

Two large sub-triangular pits (X) are subdivided into five parts and are quite substantial in form and construction. The pits and their divisions are defined either by stone facing or stone walls up to 0.8 metres wide and in their partially silted state are up to 1.1 metres deep.
