Farmstead marked on the 1880s-1890s Ordnance Survey map. The farmhouse though is probably 16th century in origin and adjoining it is a threshing barn dating to the 17th century and a late 18th-early 19th century cellar.

Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Hitt's Farm marked, comprising a courtyard range of farmbuildings including a horse engine house with the farmhouse and another rectangular building adjoining the west side. The north and west sides of the farmstead are surrounded by a large orchard.
