Summary
Three features recorded in 1991 woodland survey in this area comprise two piles of stone, thought to be clearance cairns and a large earthen mound topped with boulders. Although the latter may be a prehistoric cairn, it is thought likely to be a natural feature.

M1 Clearance cairn? Large pile of stones situated in the easternmost corner of sector M. Probably represents mere land clearance.
M2 Clearance cairn? Smaller pile of stones situated immediately west of M1.
M3 Mound. Large earth mound with a number of very large boulders on the top. Possible disturbed cairn, probably natural.
